cbf.org (check it out)
its only the best organization ever! all of my port isobel trips are through cbf; our school just signs up a group. and the amazing trip i got accepted to for 8/3-16/08. im so excited for that, but first came all of the school trips ive been on-
smith island X2, karen noonan X1, and port isobel X5
theyve all been awesome but port isobel beats all by far. ive shared so much fun, learning, and just experiences there that it will always be close to my heart. i have learned a ton about my home, learned to love owls, met amazing people, did you know bamboo is grass & can grow up to 2ft a day?, made like 15 middle school girls cry, watch an island wash away, she the heavens, wished on so many shooting stars that my dreams came true, gotten covered in mud so i couldnt see, breath, hear, or walk, & thats just the beginning. port is has won my heart and i cant wait to go back every fall and spring. i know probably 1000s of kids say this, but i KNOW my future is with cbf and alls i can do is pray that its at port is. i know i wanna work with kids and leadership is the key thing for me, so what better way to do it than at my favorite place in the world. heres a pic, but it cant even begin to show the real beauty-
sunset
its all so important to me and NOBODY (sorry kb, not even you) knows how i feel. i cant use words just the flutter of my heart when i talk about it. its like my wyoming feeling only better because its in my home and ive shared so much with it. now i cant wait for aug. 2, thats when Breaking Dawn comes out, but WAY more importantly, i leave aug. 3 for my 2 week leadership trip! its gonna be amazing and everything i could ever wish for and for 2 WEEKS! but its coming and full speed ahead.
HIGH SCHOOL OPEN B- (aka: THE TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
WOw! so, bascially over powerly amazing! I cant describe how much i loved it!!! Emma! my new best friend, not replacing others just an addition.
sleeping in a tent for 10 nights and the other 3 on a squeaky bed, but all the best nights. a chicken factory, power plant, Paul!, Kiley (never shut up), counselors who can fart in your face, bears and eagles, 2 vans and a truck, a giant pit if fish poop, 14 days of sandwhiches and chewy bars, tri county fair, airplane spoon, sweet home alabama, canoes canoes canoes, EMMA!, a wall at fox, fox island!, so much more!
to be continued with actual sensable description-
Karen Noonan Center ‘08!
so me and kb went with the middle school once again on their trip but they went to KNC this time instead. i went there in 7th grade and i loved it. my love for it has been restored. we did all the classic stuf- scare girls, canoe (ugh), camp fire, history, marsh, oysters, yadda yadda. but its worth so much. cant wait til port is in the spring! i love it.
